This interactive workshop delves into the transformative potential of vantage sensitivity, a theory highlighting how individuals with high sensitivity can demonstrate exceptional abilities when placed in supportive environments.
Highly sensitive people (HSPs) embody how humans are meant to live: deeply engaged with their environment and attuned to the emotional and energetic states of others. However, we live in a world that prioritizes aggression, disconnection, and maladaptive behaviors, which limit our ability to connect with others and develop interoceptive awareness.
This workshop will highlight how HSPs can reclaim our natural adaptability by leveraging our innate strengths through the five wellness domains—Nervous System Regulation, Emotional Awareness and Resilience, Energy Management, Translation and Discernment, and Personal Power and Self-Trust.
Participants will learn actionable techniques to thrive in both challenging and nurturing environments, turning their sensitivity into a powerful personal and community asset.
Interactive Exercises:
Enhanced Adaptability Mapping: Participants will assess their adaptability profile using a radar chart and identify which domains they excel in and which may need more attention.
Adaptability Case Studies: Group discussion and reflections on reframing sensitivity.
Embodied Nervous System Awareness: A guided practice to recognize and understand unique nervous system states. Participants will identify their personal states, explore individual techniques for regulation, and experience how to shift from activation to balance. This includes practical exercises to apply domain-specific strategies in real time for enhanced adaptability.
ABOUT WILL: Based in the PNW, I own a personal training and coaching business where I blend fitness and wellness programs with mind-body and energy medicine techniques to enhance clients' innate intuitive abilities. I am also a PhD Mind-Body Medicine student at Saybrook University, where I explore sensory processing sensitivities in Highly Sensitive Persons, researching how these extraordinary abilities can be leveraged as both a personal asset and a community advantage. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, exercising, deepening my spiritual connection, and enjoying moments with my dog, Pancake, and my two cats, Chowder and Casper.
